Lauryn Adkisson

After playing soccer for fifteen years, I made the tough decision to turn down a collegiate soccer scholarship in order to pursue a career in physical therapy, where I knew exceptional grades would be important to succeed.

I graduated from the PTA program at Roane State Community College with an A.A.S in 2016. Following graduation, I accepted a full time position at Forward Physical Therapy where I have been ever since. In my past six years at Forward I completed my Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration in Allied Health Management. My favorite thing about our clinic is the versatility of treatments we implement and the opportunity to diversify our education. With Forward I have the opportunity to learn multiple rehabilitation approaches that set us apart in quality.

I have also become a Certified Medical Billing specialist, and have aided Forward in billing and processing claims for two years.

Clinically, I completed the Administrators Certificate Program by the PPS along with training in the Scrambler therapy for neuropathic pain. In addition, I have training in Diastasis Recti, Mulligan Mobilization, Kinesiotaping, Sports specific rehabilitation, and Strain Counterstrain techniques.

My hobbies outside of work include going to the lake, travelling, attending sporting events, sports podcasting, and hanging out with friends.
