Laura Weisberg, the owner and founder of Forward Physical Therapy, grew up in the mountains of New Mexico on a horse and mule farm. She was a competitive horseback rider, skier and multi-sport athlete growing up which sparked her interest in sports medicine rehabilitation.
Laura performed her undergraduate work at the University of New Mexico, where she also worked for the presbyterian hospital system and trained in Hippotherapy. She received her master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of North Dakota in 1997. Through these experiences, she has gained extensive professional knowledge in neuromuscular rehabilitation in a vast population from competitive Olympic level athletes to the 90 y/o who enjoys gardening and hiking.
Laura is passionate about the field of physical therapy and educating people about the body’s amazing design. Her professional focus is returning the body to a natural functioning state and increasing performance to allow them to enjoy what they love to do. She currently teaches biomechanics and applied anatomy as an adjunct professor at Lincoln Memorial University in the doctorate physical therapy program.
Laura is married to her high school sweetheart Chris Weisberg of 30+ years and has two beautiful daughters. She enjoys horseback riding, training dogs, and spending time with her family on the lake in her free time.
